LDA to Conduct Door-to-Door Verification of All Allotted Properties to Curb Fraud

Lucknow: In a major step towards enhancing transparency and streamlining records, the Lucknow Development Authority has decided to conduct a comprehensive door-to-door physical verification of all its allotted residential and commercial properties across the city.

The directive has been issued by LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar, who stated that the initiative aims to update property records, eliminate discrepancies, and completely curb the possibility of fraudulent transactions.

According to officials, the authority is currently undertaking large-scale digitisation of property files to improve citizen services and administrative efficiency. However, in several cases, records are either incomplete or missing, causing inconvenience to both the authority and allottees. The lack of updated records has also raised concerns about potential misuse and fraud.

To address these issues, LDA will carry out on-ground verification of properties across all its schemes. For this purpose, PCS Management Consultancy Pvt Ltd has been appointed as the implementing agency to execute the survey process.

As part of the exercise, trained survey teams will visit properties door-to-door to verify ownership details. The collected information will then be used to update official records accurately. To ensure authenticity and public trust, all survey personnel will be issued official identity cards by LDA, which they will present during visits to confirm their authorization.

During the verification process, property allottees will be required to provide essential details, including mobile numbers, ownership documents, Aadhaar cards, and identity proof of the owner or occupant. Officials emphasized that this data collection is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

To facilitate smooth execution, all executive engineers have been instructed to create awareness within their respective zones through supervisors and field staff so that residents are well-informed about the exercise and cooperate with survey teams.

Appealing to citizens, Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar urged allottees to actively support the initiative. He noted that timely completion of the verification and digitisation process will significantly improve public services, ensure accountability, and provide long-term benefits to residents by making property-related processes more efficient and transparent.

The move is expected to strengthen governance, enhance trust among property owners, and pave the way for a more robust and fraud-resistant property management system in Lucknow.
