Lucknow: City Montessori School (CMS), Rajajipuram Campus I, organised a vibrant ‘Divine Education Conference’ at its campus, highlighting the importance of value-based, holistic education. The event brought together students, educators, and parents in a celebration of learning that goes beyond textbooks.
Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Sushma Kharkwal, Mayor of Lucknow, lauded CMS students for bringing global recognition to the city. She elaborated achievements of students, including astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, as shining examples of excellence. Emphasizing the broader purpose of education, she stated that learning is not confined to academics alone but plays a crucial role in shaping society and the nation.
Highlighting the role of family in early education, the Mayor said that a child’s first school is the home and the mother is the first teacher. She urged mothers to instill strong moral values, character, and integrity in children from an early age, as they are the future pillars of the nation. Mrs. Kharkwal formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The event began with an All-Religion and World Unity Prayer, setting a spiritual and harmonious tone for the proceedings. Students captivated the audience with devotional songs and musical performances, followed by a series of colourful cultural and educational presentations. Through music, dance, and creative expressions, students showcased not only their talents but also the school’s emphasis on moral, spiritual, and character-building education.
A key highlight of the conference was the felicitation ceremony, where meritorious students were honoured for their outstanding achievements in national and international competitions, academic excellence, sports, and cultural activities. Their accomplishments reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.
