Bareilly: A review meeting chaired by District Magistrate Avinash Singh confirmed that there is no shortage of LPG cylinders, petrol, or diesel in Bareilly. The meeting was held at the District Magistrate’s office with officials from major oil companies and the district supply department.
Representatives of Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum informed the District Magistrate that sufficient stock of LPG cylinders as well as petrol and diesel is available across the district. They assured that the supply and distribution system is functioning normally.
Officials also stated that the Government of India has increased the refill period for LPG cylinders from 21 days to 25 days. To curb black marketing, an OTP-based distribution system has also been implemented for cylinder delivery.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate referred to recent instructions issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh through a video conference led by Yogi Adityanath on March 10. Authorities were directed to maintain strict monitoring of gas agencies, track their daily stock, and conduct field inspections to prevent hoarding or illegal sale of LPG cylinders.
Following the review, the district administration appealed to residents not to pay attention to rumours regarding shortages. Officials clarified that adequate stock of LPG, petrol, and diesel is available and the supply chain across the district remains stable.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (City) Saurabh Dubey, Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Desh Deepak Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tripti, District Supply Officer Manish Kumar Singh, and senior officials from the three oil companies along with other departmental representatives.
