Lucknow: Arun Pratap Singh, President of Maa Gayatri Jan Seva Sansthan, and Gunjan Verma, President of Nishu Welfare Foundation, were honoured with the UP Ratna Samman 2026 for their outstanding contributions to social service.
The awards were presented during the 13th foundation day celebrations of the national monthly magazine UP Ki Awaaz. Singh and Verma were recognised for their dedicated efforts towards public welfare and their sustained contribution to social service.
The honours were presented by Uttar Pradesh Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, who attended as the chief guest, and Jaswant Saini, Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Uttar Pradesh, who was the chief speaker at the event.
Singh and Verma expressed their gratitude to the organising committee, the UP Ki Awaaz team and all the guests for recognising their work.
The ceremony was attended by UP Ki Awaaz President Anoop Gangwar, Uttar Pradesh Editor Parul Gangwar, MLC Avnish Singh Patel, Dinesh Kumar Sehgal and several industrialists, social workers and other distinguished guests.
The programme was conducted by Dr Anita Sehgal Vasundhara. The event highlighted the contribution of individuals working towards social welfare and community service across Uttar Pradesh.
