Lucknow: The vibrant group art exhibition ‘Rang-Varnika’, organised by Manikarnika Art Gallery, was a roaring hit at Kala Srot Art Gallery in Aliganj, Lucknow. The event marked a significant cultural moment, drawing prominent personalities from the fields of art, culture, and literature, along with artists and art enthusiasts.
The chief guest for the occasion was Kunwar Manvendra Singh, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that art serves as a powerful medium for expressing societal emotions, ideas, and cultural consciousness. He noted that exhibitions like ‘Rang-Varnika’ not only provide artists with a meaningful platform but also enrich society through creative engagement. He lauded the consistent efforts of Manikarnika Art Gallery in promoting artistic initiatives and congratulated the organisers for the successful event.
Renowned artist Prof. Umesh Kumar Saxena also shared his reflections, praising the displayed artworks for their diversity and depth in contemporary expression. He appreciated the gallery and the exhibition’s curator for their dedicated efforts in bringing together artists from across the country.


Kamini Baghel, Director of Manikarnika Art Gallery and Convener of the exhibition, expressed gratitude to the chief guest, distinguished attendees, participating artists, and visitors. In her address, she described ‘Rang-Varnika’ as a shared creative platform that brings together colours, emotions, and ideas from artists representing various states of India. She highlighted that the gallery has been consistently organising both online and offline exhibitions, enabling artists to gain broader recognition and new opportunities. She also extended thanks to Kala Srot Art Gallery for providing the venue.
The exhibition featured artworks by 23 artists from different parts of the country, including Abhishek Kumar (Munger, Bihar), Alka Sharma (Ghaziabad), Bindu (New Delhi), Divyashri Nageswaran (Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu), Dr. (Hon.) Abhilasha Nigam (Lucknow), Dr. Pramila Singh (Jhansi), Dr. Pushpa Agrawal (Raipur), Ishani Sinha (Patna), Istuti Sinha (Jhansi), Kamini Baghel (Jhansi), Mamta Prakash Shrivastava (Lucknow), Mohammad Ishaq (Lucknow), Neera Nigam (Lucknow), Neelu Parveen (Jhansi), Payal Kewlani (Lucknow), Payal Verma (Lucknow), Pooja Shrivastava (Kanpur), Poonam Singh (Dehradun), Pranay Vilas Kaduskar (Pulgaon, Maharashtra), Ravi Prakash Singh (Lucknow), Reshma Gurnani (Lucknow), Sharmishtha Sen (New Delhi), and Sikha Nandan (Kolkata).
The displayed artworks presented compelling interpretations of themes such as women’s lives, folk culture, nature, social concerns, and contemporary issues.
