Lucknow: A major road accident occurred on Sunday evening around 6:30 pm on the service road ahead of Baburiya Kheda Underpass, when a speeding container heading towards Lucknow rammed into a car from behind. The impact was so severe that the car lost control and overturned into a roadside ditch, while a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction was also hit in the mishap.
According to information, the container bearing registration number NL 01AE 0157 collided with a car numbered UP 32 MU 7311. The car occupants—Sandeep Yadav, son of Ramnath Yadav; Karan Rajput, son of Chhote; and Pradeep Yadav, son of Nanuram, all residents of Dauli Kheda—sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to a hospital through private means.
In the same incident, Ayaan, a resident of Karimabad, who was riding a motorcycle bearing number UP 32 CA 5242, was also injured. He was taken to the hospital by his family members for treatment.
Following the accident, the container driver fled the spot, while the vehicle was moved to the side of the road. Traffic movement in the area continued normally after the incident, and no law and order situation was reported.
