New Delhi: A 29-year-old man died after allegedly being assaulted during a brawl at Tor House nightclub near Ashok Park Metro station in Delhi. Police have arrested five people, including the club manager, his wife and three bouncers, in connection with the incident.
The victim, identified as Daljeet, worked as a driver and was the sole breadwinner of his family. He is survived by his wife, Pooja, their eight-year-old son and his father.

According to police, Daljeet had visited the nightclub with five to six friends for a party when a liquid, allegedly beer, spilled on a woman, triggering an argument with the club manager. The situation reportedly escalated after bouncers were called in.
Police said Daljeet and his friends allegedly apologised and pleaded with their attackers to stop, but the assault continued. More bouncers and waiters reportedly joined in, and the group was allegedly attacked with sticks and glass bottles.
The victim sustained severe injuries, including a fractured jaw. His friends took him to his home in Raghuvir Nagar, where he collapsed near the entrance. He was subsequently rushed to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The victim’s friends also alleged that one of the accused displayed a firearm and that cash and two mobile phones were taken from the group. These allegations are part of the ongoing investigation.
Police described the CCTV footage of the incident as disturbing and have seized the nightclub’s digital video recorder to reconstruct the sequence of events and identify any additional suspects.
The investigation is continuing, with authorities examining the circumstances surrounding the assault and the allegations made by the victim’s companions.
