World Human Day 2026: 28th International Juno Award Held in Lucknow, 13 Eminent Personalities Honoured

Lucknow: On the occasion of World Human Day, the World Human Association organised the 28th International Juno Award 2025 ceremony in Lucknow. World Human Day is observed every year on January 1 to promote the protection of living beings and the environment. This year, the celebrations were held simultaneously in 20 districts across the country, including Lucknow.

During the ceremony, 13 distinguished personalities from India and abroad were conferred with the International Juno Award 2025 in recognition of their outstanding contributions to social service, literature, education, and environmental protection.

From the international community, the awardees included the President of Union Colombia (South America), the President of Chinese Earth Action (China), the President of the Environmental Protection and Community Development Organization (Kenya, East Africa), the President of the Pacific Institute of Resource Management (New Zealand–Australia), and the President of the Bulgarian Ecologist Organization (Europe), all honoured for their exemplary work in social and environmental causes.

From India, Dr. Dharmendra Pratap Singh (Banda) was honoured for dialectical and literary services, Dr. Vivah Prakash (Lucknow) for contributions to Hindi literature, Neelam Rani Gupta (Agra) for literature focused on the protection of all living beings, Sumit Verma (Ahmedabad) for creative writing on children and women, Kali Shankar Srivastava (Fatehpur) for social service, Dr. Sheikh Anishuddin Alauddin (Jalgaon) for contributions to Urdu education, and Ritu Khare (Gorakhpur) for social service. Delhi-based social activist Nishi Kulshreshtha was also felicitated for her significant social work.

The organisers also announced that around 300 meritorious children from nearly 20 districts across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala will be honoured with the State Juno Award 2025 in their respective districts.

The programme began with a tribute to late Premlata Srivastava, Financial President of the World Human Association, followed by homage to world-renowned author and thinker John Milton. On the occasion, the book “Sarveshwari Shri Radha Rani Sharan” authored by noted poet Ashok Kumar Srivastava ‘Rang Ji’ was also released. The book was formally unveiled by the chief guest Naresh Shankar Srivastava.

Sharing details of the event, Arvind Bhushan Srivastava, President of the World Human Association, said the awards aim to promote human values, compassion, and environmental consciousness. Amrita Bhushan Srivastava, General Secretary of the What Human Organization, was also present at the ceremony.
