Lucknow | The Hindustan Handicraft Festival witnessed a vibrant confluence of music, culture and traditional arts, as the Shiv Sanskriti Kala Foundation presented a spectacular cultural showcase on Saturday. Led by the foundation’s founder Meethu Roy, the event highlighted India’s rich folk traditions and artistic diversity.

The programme was graced by several distinguished guests, including:

Sitar Recital by Alka Srivastava Steals the Show
The main highlight of the evening was a soulful sitar performance by eminent artist Alka Srivastava, who is associated with Bhatkhande Vidyapeeth. Her masterful rendition captivated the audience and showcased the depth of Indian classical music.
A Rich Line-up of Cultural Performances
The event began with a graceful Ganesh Vandana by Avni Rastogi, followed by:

- Krishna Bhajan by Aadhya
- Devi Stuti Kathak by Shiksha Agrawal
- Guitar performance by Rashmi Singh
- Poetry recitation by Pooja Srivastava
A delightful series of Kathak presentations by young artists — Ragi, Shivanya, Suryanshi, Sambhavi, Naina, Vaishnavi, Odisha, Dali, Bhavisha, Nayra, Aastha, Poshika, Sakshi, Pavishna and Nimisha — added charm and elegance to the evening.
Smriti Mishra elevated the devotional fervour with her bhajan, while Meethu Roy presented a compelling dance drama on women empowerment, earning wide appreciation.
Seamless Coordination and Warm Felicitations
The programme was smoothly coordinated by Arpita, Aneesha and Anushka.
All invited guests and participating artists were honoured, followed by a vote of thanks, marking the successful conclusion of a colourful and culturally enriching event.
