Lucknow: The Department of Education at Lucknow University organised a cyber safety awareness and interaction programme under Mission Shakti, in collaboration with the Institute of Women’s and Gender Studies. The session aimed to educate students about the growing risks of cybercrime and equip them with practical preventive measures.
The programme was chaired by Department Head Prof. Dinesh Kumar. The keynote speaker, retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Ruchita Chaudhary, addressed students on how to stay alert and avoid falling victim to online frauds and cyber threats. She explained key safety practices for everyday digital use and responded to queries raised by students regarding cybercrime scenarios and preventive strategies.

Programme convenor Dr. Neetu Singh, co-convenor Dr. Beena Indrani, along with faculty members, research scholars, and students from the department, attended the event. Organisers said such initiatives are crucial in building awareness and promoting responsible digital behaviour among young users.
