Ayodhya: The holy city of Ayodhya glowed with unmatched radiance on Sunday evening as Deepotsav 2025 transformed the ancient city into a living vision of Treta Yuga and the ideal of Ram Rajya. Millions of earthen lamps lined the ghats of the Sarayu, temple courtyards, streets and rooftops, creating a breathtaking sea of light that left devotees awe-struck.
At Ramkatha Park, the festival reached its spiritual peak with a grand depiction of the arrival and coronation of Lord Shri Ram. As soon as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took hold of the rope and pulled the chariot of Lord Ram himself, the air echoed with thunderous chants of “Jai Shri Ram”. Saints showered flowers on the Ram Durbar, while Vedic mantras resonated across the park, invoking a divine atmosphere.
Symbolic Coronation Brings Ancient Era to Life
The CM, joined by saints and dignitaries, performed the ceremonial worship of Lord Ram, Mata Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughna and Hanuman, in the presence of spiritual leaders. The golden throne, decorated chariot, royal assembly and traditionally adorned participants recreated the visuals of ancient Ayodhya.
CM Yogi first garlanded Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman. Lord Ram took the lead with Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman seated behind on the chariot, while the Chief Minister pulled it forward with devotion. He then performed the aarti and symbolic coronation, seeking the blessings of Lord Ram for the state.
Cabinet ministers Surya Pratap Shahi, Jaiveer Singh and Rakesh Sachan also joined the ceremonial worship on stage. The event saw the presence of Ram Mandir Trust Secretary Champat Rai, saints, mahants, public representatives and BJP officials, marking a historic spiritual convergence.
A City Bathed in Light

From Ramkatha Park to Ram Ki Paidi, Dharampath, Lata Chowk and Hanumangarhi, every inch of Ayodhya shimmered in luminous rows of diyas. Devotees sang bhajans, lit lamps with reverence and captured the divine spectacle on their cameras. The entire city appeared as if celestial beings themselves had descended to decorate Ayodhya.
Ayodhya Model Sets Global Benchmark
Deepotsav 2025 not only broke previous records but showcased the “Ayodhya Model” to the world—a perfect blend of devotion, culture, tradition, modern infrastructure, security, cleanliness and discipline. The seamless coordination reflected Ayodhya’s emergence as a global spiritual and cultural capital.
Bharat Milap Brings Tears to Thousands
The most emotional moment of the evening came with the dramatic staging of Bharat Milap. As Bharat fell at the feet of Lord Ram and Ram lovingly embraced him, thousands of devotees fell silent, many with tears in their eyes. Moments later, the Sarayu ghats erupted with chants of “Jai Shri Ram”, turning the atmosphere into a wave of devotion.
Deepotsav 2025 once again proved that Ayodhya is not just a city—it is a living flame of faith, illuminating the path of humanity for generations to come.
