Dilip Pandey Addresses AAP Workers in Lucknow, Urges Strengthening Party at Booth Level

Lucknow: In a major gathering of workers under the “Har Ghar Sampark Abhiyan” campaign, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Uttar Pradesh Co-Incharge Dilip Pandey addressed volunteers at the Uttar Assembly in Lucknow on Saturday. Highlighting the need for a strong grassroots organization, Pandey emphasized that AAP’s growth in India has always been rooted in standing up against tyranny and fighting for the common people.

Strengthening AAP at the Grassroots
Pandey told the workers, “The Aam Aadmi Party’s identity has always been its struggle for the rights of ordinary citizens. This fight has made AAP the fastest-growing political force in the country. In Uttar Pradesh, we must now reach every village and household under the ‘Har Ghar Sampark Abhiyan’ to spread the ideas of AAP and Arvind Kejriwal and build a robust organization at the booth level.”

Attack on BJP Over Mehraj Malik’s Arrest
Addressing the controversial arrest of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik from Jammu & Kashmir, Pandey termed it unconstitutional. He said, “Congress MLAs roam freely in Jammu & Kashmir, yet BJP fears AAP so much that MLA Mehraj Malik, who raised issues of hospitals in Doda, has been jailed under the stringent PSA law. Even AAP MP Sanjay Singh was placed under house arrest for trying to meet him. Despite BJP’s attempts at authoritarianism, AAP has always grown by confronting tyranny.”

Cleaning Politics Like Cleaning Streets
Pandey also drew an analogy between political corruption and street dirt, stating, “Just as dirt is cleaned with a broom, political filth too can only be removed in the same way. Citizens of Uttar Pradesh must follow the path of AAP’s ideology, as seen in Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, Goa, and Jammu & Kashmir.”

Preventing Closure of 6–7 Thousand Schools
Highlighting AAP’s achievements in the state, Pandey noted, “Arvind Kejriwal began politics by focusing on basic public needs. In UP, AAP has been actively working to prevent the closure of around 6–7 thousand primary schools. This struggle forced the government to act, and the schools were saved—an important victory for the people.”

Unity Among Workers
In his concluding remarks, Pandey urged the workers to remain united, stating, “Like the bristles of a broom work together to clean dirt, only unity among our workers can bring real change in Uttar Pradesh. Division will only weaken the cause.”

The event was attended by senior AAP leaders including District President Iram Rizvi, State Spokesperson Isma Zaheer, District General Secretary Gyan Singh Kushwaha, PK Bajpai, and Uttar Assembly President Balram Sahni. Several new members joined the party during the event, including under the leadership of SP leader Afzal: Aftab Ansari, Shabbir Ahmed, Sujit Sharma, Saddam, Rambhuj, and Rajkumar Verma.

This meeting reinforced AAP’s strategy to strengthen its grassroots network and mobilize citizens for its larger mission of governance reform and accountability in Uttar Pradesh.
