Lucknow : The Indian Industries Association (IIA) officially launched its new annual session on Tuesday with a formal oath-taking ceremony of 160 newly appointed office bearers from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi. The event took place at the IIA Bhawan in Lucknow, marking a renewed commitment toward the growth and development of the MSME sector.
Presiding over the event as Chief Guest, Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, Minister of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Government of Uttar Pradesh, praised the IIA’s significant role in promoting and nurturing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country. He lauded IIA’s initiatives in advocating clean and green energy adoption within the MSME ecosystem as a step toward sustainable industrial growth.
Leadership Transition and Vision Ahead
During the ceremony, newly elected National President Dinesh Goyal formally took charge by receiving the symbolic IIA flag from outgoing President Neeraj Singhal. In his heartfelt farewell address, Singhal expressed gratitude to all colleagues who worked with him during his 2023–2025 tenure and expressed confidence that the new leadership would propel IIA to greater heights, particularly in aligning MSMEs with Industry 4.0 and 5.0 goals.
In his inaugural address, Dinesh Goyal outlined the core priorities for 2025–26, focusing on:
- Strong policy advocacy at the state and national levels.
- Expanding MSMEs’ access to markets, finance, and technology through government schemes.
- Accelerating the adoption of digital tools and green technologies.
- Strengthening MSMEs’ preparedness for global competitiveness.
Goyal called upon all members to be drivers of economic growth, aligning with the vision of a “Developed India.” He emphasized, “Our collective resolve is: Grow Industry, Build a Developed India.”
New Core Team Introduced
The new national core team for the 2025–26 session includes:

- Alok Agrawal as Senior Vice President
- Deepak Bajaj as National General Secretary
- Awadhesh Agrawal as National Treasurer
Welcoming the chief guest, Alok Agrawal reiterated IIA’s proactive role in promoting entrepreneurship and requested greater support from the Environment Department to resolve operational challenges faced by industries.
In his detailed address, Deepak Bajaj elaborated on the wide range of services IIA offers its members to advance MSME interests. “MSMEs are the backbone of the Indian economy,” he said, “and IIA is committed to working hand-in-hand with the government to uplift this sector.” Bajaj also conducted the event as the stage anchor.
Awadhesh Agrawal, the newly appointed treasurer, set a thoughtful tone for the event by highlighting the importance of water conservation. He urged everyone to begin the new term with a commitment to environmental sustainability.
The ceremony was attended by senior IIA officials, chapter representatives, and prominent figures from government and industry. It marked a strong start to the new term, with a clear vision of sustainable industrial growth, technological adoption, and collaborative policymaking to empower India’s MSME sector.
