Lucknow: On the auspicious day of Bada Mangal, City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow, held a heartfelt havan ceremony at its Aliganj campus to pray for the safe and successful mission of its distinguished alumnus, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. Part of Axiom-4’s mission to the International Space Station, the ceremony brought together Shubhanshu’s family, school leaders, and students in emotional unity.
Shubhanshu’s father, Shambhu Dayal Shukla, and sisters expressed deep pride, calling CMS the soil that nurtured his dreams. Emotional tributes by school principals and the chanting of Vedic mantras symbolized collective hope and strength.
Shubhanshu, a pilot for the ISRO Gaganyaan programme and the Axiom mission, will be joined by astronaut Dr. Peggy Whitson and others. Though the launch was delayed by a day, CMS believes divine blessings now guide his journey. The ceremony captured India’s hopes for a triumphant return of its rising star.
