Lucknow – In preparation for the upcoming Bakrid festival, a peace committee meeting was convened under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Dhananjay Singh Kushwaha. The meeting, held to promote communal harmony and ensure effective law and order, was attended by ACP Ratnesh Singh and Station House Officer (SHO) Anjani Kumar Mishra.
The gathering witnessed active participation from prominent citizens, community leaders, and religious scholars of the area, who came together to discuss festival arrangements and extend their support to the administration.
Focus on Guidelines and Community Cooperation
During the meeting, officials laid out clear guidelines regarding sacrificial practices (Qurbani) and stressed adherence to legal and administrative norms. The police also urged the community to ensure that no acts are carried out that may disrupt the peace or hurt the sentiments of any group.

The participants discussed measures for cleanliness, animal sacrifice protocols, and traffic management, emphasizing the need to celebrate the festival in a peaceful and respectful manner.

In a unified voice, community members and religious leaders promised full cooperation with the local administration to maintain peace, harmony, and mutual respect during the festivities.
