Peace Committee Meeting Held at Madehganj Police Station Ahead of Festivals

Lucknow: In light of the upcoming festivals of Ram Navami, Holi, and Ramzan, a peace committee meeting was convened at Madehganj Police Station. The meeting aimed to ensure communal harmony and peaceful celebrations.

Inspector Rajesh Singh addressed the attendees, urging them to celebrate the festivals peacefully, as Holi and Ramzan coincide this year. He emphasized the importance of maintaining unity and brotherhood.

During the meeting, Inspector Singh set an example of communal harmony by announcing that no separate meal arrangements were made this time due to the ongoing holy month of Ramzan, respecting its sanctity.

Law enforcement authorities assured that police would remain vigilant to maintain peace and order. They also stated that strict action would be taken against those spreading rumors or engaging in disruptive activities.

Community members actively participated in the meeting and voiced their concerns. Inspector Rajesh Singh appealed to people from all faiths to celebrate their respective festivals with a spirit of brotherhood.

Authorities also issued directives to stop DJ music before 1:00 PM to ensure that Muslim devotees can offer their Jumu’ah (Friday) prayers without disturbance.

The meeting highlighted Lucknow’s Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb, encouraging people to uphold the city’s tradition of communal harmony.

Among the attendees were Inspector Rajesh Singh, Sub-Inspector Sakina Khan, Sub-Inspector Amarnath, Sub-Inspector Harish Chandra, and Ashish Singh.
