Gonda: A felicitation programme was organised at Composite School Baba Mathiya in Wazirganj development block to honour meritorious students. Village head Vishwajeet Singh presented study tables to students who secured first, second and third positions in their respective classes.
According to headmaster Sunil Kumar Anand, a total of 18 toppers from Classes 3 to 8 were honoured during the programme. The students included Srishti Yadav, Yash, Aman Nishad, Birendra Kumar, Karishma, Anamika, Ankit Kumar, Kamal, Suryansh, Krishna, Dharmendra, Shubham, Aman, Harish Kumar, Neetu, Priya, Sudha and Karishma.
The students were felicitated with garlands and presented study tables to encourage them in their academic pursuits.
State Award-winning teacher and headmaster Sunil Kumar Anand said such recognition boosts children’s enthusiasm for studies and promotes a healthy spirit of competition. He added that the study tables would provide students with better facilities for studying at home.
Teachers Manoj Kumar, Dr Vijay Shankar Maurya, Neha Verma, Gangesh Mishra, Laxmi Maurya and Shiv Prasad Kanaujia, along with other school staff, were present. The teachers congratulated the students and wished them success in their future academic journey.
