Members can submit suggestions and amendments to the proposed names by October 24
Gonda: The process of constituting the Gonda district executive of the Provincial Medical Association has gathered momentum, with names proposed for various office-bearer positions at a district-level meeting held at the Chief Medical Officer’s office.
The meeting focused on strengthening the organisation and expediting the formation of its district executive. Several doctors were proposed for key positions, although the names remain open to suggestions and amendments.
According to the proposed list, Dr T.P. Jaiswal has been nominated for the post of president, while Dr Ghulam and Dr Alok Singh have been proposed for secretary.
The names suggested for vice-president include Dr Amit Kumar (Chhapia), Dr Amit Tripathi (Women’s Hospital), Dr Suman Mishra and Dr Shweta Tripathi. Dr J.P. Shukla has been proposed as treasurer, Dr Ashish Shukla as editor, and Dr Ashutosh Shukla as a member of the central executive committee.
Members wishing to suggest changes to the proposed names or recommend candidates for other positions can submit their proposals to Election Officer and Returning Officer Dr Ghulam Maunuddin Chishti by October 24, 2026.
The election officer and Dr Navneet Gaurav Singh have also been approached to apprise the central executive committee of the situation. Members have called for discussions with the association’s state president and secretary to expedite the formation of the Gonda executive.
According to association members, executive committees have already been constituted in several parts of Uttar Pradesh, making it important to accelerate the process in Gonda as well.
Members have suggested holding an association meeting after the PreDHS programme to discuss the next steps and build consensus on the organisational process.
The suggestions and amendments received by October 24 are expected to guide the next stage of the district executive’s formation.
