Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal and DM Priyanka Niranjan inspect site after legal process clears land occupied by Jyoti Vidya Mandir for nearly 30 years
Gonda: In a move to ensure the planned utilisation of government land and expand public infrastructure, Divisional Commissioner of Devipatan Division Durga Shakti Nagpal and Gonda District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan inspected a parcel of Nazul land and reviewed proposals for its future development.

The proposed plan envisages the construction of officers’ residences along with an open gym, combining residential requirements with facilities promoting public health and fitness. Officials assessed the land’s present condition, available area and suitability for the proposed development.
Land Freed After Legal Process
The land had been associated with the operation of Jyoti Vidya Mandir for nearly three decades. The matter was pending before the Supreme Court, but after the petitioner withdrew the case, the land was freed from occupation following the prescribed legal process.
Following the clearance, the administration initiated an assessment of the site’s potential for planned development and more effective utilisation.
Focus on Housing and Public Facilities
The proposed development aims to expand residential accommodation for officers while providing citizens with an open gym facility for exercise and physical fitness. Officials discussed the need to prepare an appropriate development plan based on the land’s suitability, available resources and local requirements.

During the inspection, Nagpal directed the concerned officials to ensure the systematic and planned use of the land. She emphasised assessing development requirements carefully and taking forward the proposed works in an organised manner.
