UP RERA Approves 13 Real Estate Projects Worth Over ₹3,000 Crore

Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar: In a major boost to organised urban development in Uttar Pradesh, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has approved 13 new real estate projects with an estimated investment of ₹3,052.73 crore across eight districts of the state.

The approvals were granted during the 202nd Authority meeting held at the UP RERA headquarters, chaired by Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy. Senior officials of the authority were also present during the review, where project proposals were evaluated in accordance with regulatory compliance and planning standards.

According to officials, the approved projects will lead to the development of approximately 4,772 residential and commercial units, significantly strengthening planned urban infrastructure and boosting real estate activity across the state.

Ghaziabad Leads in Investment and Projects

Ghaziabad emerged as the top-performing district in terms of number of projects, total investment, and unit development. Four projects worth ₹1,936.72 crore were approved in the district, including three commercial and one residential development. These projects will collectively generate 2,199 units, further strengthening Ghaziabad’s position as a key real estate and commercial hub in the National Capital Region.

Gautam Buddh Nagar, Agra and Lucknow Also See Major Approvals

Gautam Buddh Nagar received approval for one major commercial project worth ₹420.50 crore, which will develop 855 commercial units. The project is expected to further enhance business and commercial infrastructure in the region.

In Agra, two residential projects with a combined investment of ₹246.94 crore were approved. These projects will contribute 797 residential units, addressing growing housing demand in the city.

The state capital Lucknow also witnessed approval of two residential projects worth ₹216.14 crore, which will add 364 housing units and further expand planned residential development in the city.

Other Districts Included in Approvals

Several other districts also received individual project approvals:

  • Mathura: A commercial project worth ₹10.28 crore with 81 units
  • Varanasi: A residential project worth ₹41.12 crore with 131 units
  • Prayagraj: A residential project worth ₹102.69 crore with 241 units
  • Barabanki: A residential project worth ₹78.34 crore with 104 units

Boost to Employment and Economic Activity

Officials stated that the approved projects are expected to generate significant employment opportunities during construction and post-completion phases. Sectors such as construction materials, transport, engineering, architecture, and financial services are likely to benefit from increased economic activity.

Strengthening Transparency and Buyer Confidence

UP RERA emphasized that continuous project approvals reflect growing investor confidence in Uttar Pradesh’s regulatory environment. The authority reiterated its commitment to transparency, timely approvals, and strict compliance to ensure stronger protection of homebuyers’ interests.

Chairman’s Statement

Commenting on the approvals, Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said that UP RERA remains committed to ensuring transparent, efficient, and time-bound regulation of the real estate sector.

He added that continuous monitoring and strict enforcement of rules are helping build a more disciplined and trustworthy real estate ecosystem in the state. He also stressed that developers must adhere strictly to timelines and regulatory obligations to safeguard the interests of homebuyers.
