Lucknow: Under the chairmanship of Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Chancellor Anandiben Patel, a Guinness World Record Award Ceremony was organized at the Raj Bhavan on the world record being set by 25,93,276 people taking the Yoga Pledge in the Yoga Shapath Abhiyan conducted at the state level from 12 June to 18 June 2024. In which the representative adjudicator of Guinness World Record, Kumari Ayani Turbali, while presenting the Guinness World Record certificate to the Governor, called it a wonderful and fantastic achievement and also informed about the appreciation expressed by the Guinness World’s London and Japan office for this achievement.
On this occasion, Ayani Turbali expressed gratitude for the honor received from the Raj Bhavan. She was also given a memento by the Governor. On this occasion, certificates were distributed by the Chancellor to 12 universities who performed excellently in the Yoga Pledge Campaign. These universities include Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University Kanpur, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University Bareilly, Lucknow University Lucknow, Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth Varanasi, Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut, Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University Jaunpur, Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University Prayagraj, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University Agra, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Ayodhya and Bundelkhand University, Jhansi.
On this occasion, the Governor congratulated everyone and said that when we are determined towards any work and have faith in ourselves, then that work gets completed. She said that it is necessary to work together for positive results. She explained the need for teamwork for the success of any work and said that while forming a team, it is also necessary to keep in mind the expertise of the team members. The Governor said that such programs will be organized in future also.
The Governor said that 100% oath taking should be done in proportion to the number of students studying in the university. On this occasion, she learned about the yoga routine from the people present and encouraged them to do yoga regularly. She said that the problems of the students studying in the university and college should be known and their proper solution should be given and they should be motivated to become healthy through yoga.
The Governor directed to get regular medical checkups done for the students studying in all universities and colleges and to take full responsibility of HPV vaccination of every daughter of the adopted village. She said that work should be done by forming a team and with mutual participation. She also took the report of implementation of Samarth Portal in the university from the Vice Chancellors of the university.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Sudhir Mahadev Bobde described this moment as a golden moment and golden memories of life. She gave the credit of setting the world record to the visionary leadership of the Governor and the Chancellor of the State University.
Addressing the program, Vice Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University Kanpur, Prof. Vinay Pathak told about the challenges, struggles, process and proceedings in making the record and congratulated the entire team calling it a historic moment. On this occasion, Special Executive Officer Education Dr. Pankaj L. Johnny, Vice Chancellors of the University and their team, Raj Bhavan officials and others were present.
