Lucknow: The New Year has transitioned into 2025, yet the devotion and praises for Lord Hanuman continue unabated. In this series of spiritual expressions, the Shri Sankat Haran Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir Trust hosted an “Udgaar” program on the first Saturday of the year within the temple premises. The event was marked by a vibrant display of devotional poetry and bhajans, with devotees offering their heartfelt expressions of love for their Lord through verses and songs.
The event was organized by Lok Aangan Sanskriti, Literature, and Education Institution’s Secretary Jyoti Kiran Ratan, along with the cultural secretaries of Jai Hind Foundation and IMA Cultural and Education Trust, including the Ratan Sisters and members. The “Udgaar” program commenced with a prayer to Maa Veena Vahini, setting a tone of reverence and spirituality.
Notable personalities such as Dr. Ashok Sharma began the poetry recitation with a heartfelt verse: “I wash your feet and transform into water, my only wish is to serve you.”
Sanjay Mehrotra ‘HamNawa’ expressed his admiration for Lord Krishna’s mystical powers through his poetic lines: “One day, Hamnawa will see, Krishna’s enchanting form, such is the magic of His grace, as if casting a spell upon all.”
Arvind Rastogi Dhawal beautifully sang the praises of Lord Ram with his rendition: “Sing the Ramayan with a sweet voice, where Ram’s praises echo, it feels like heaven on earth.”
In a light-hearted and joyful manner, Nandlal Sharma Chanchal added: “Let life be joyful, with wealth in the pocket, but may the feeling of happiness remain in the heart.”
Dr. Sarita Sadabahar conveyed the importance of tradition and culture through her poem: “Don’t belittle us, we seek divine grace, to understand the values of culture, and never be seen in disgrace.”
Krisnanand Rai, in line with environmental consciousness, delivered a poetic message on reducing plastic use during the Mahakumbh: “Let us carry cloth bags, glasses, and plates, to make the Mahakumbh a plastic-free event.”
Dr. Sharad Pandey Shashank invoked Lord Ram’s words on the fainting of Lakshman in his epic recitation: “Suddenly, Lord Raghunath spoke.”
Prominent figure, Pradeep Shukla, also known as ‘Gobhar Ganesh’, welcomed the new year with his prayers: “Lord, bless me with wisdom, so I may not remain the same as I was, but learn and grow in this new year.”
The event also featured poets like Sampatti Kumar Mishra “Bhramar Baiswari” who recited poetry on the importance of saving daughters, highlighting: “Save the daughters, educate them, for they are the most precious gift, a symbol of divine grace.”
Bharti Payal shared a beautiful verse on the importance of serving parents for a happy life: “Serve your parents, for a prosperous life will be ours.”
Dr. Himanshu Saxena “Arsh Lucknowi” recited a spiritual anthem, calling everyone to sing the praises of Lord Ram and celebrate the glory of Sanatan Dharma.
Yukti Srivastava shared her thoughts on the passing of one year and the beginning of another: “Every year departs, and a new year arrives, with the old leaving and the new beginning.”
The program also had a beautiful bhajan recital by Rachna Gupta, who emphasized the significance of chanting the name of Lord Ram as the path to liberation: “Ram’s name is the key to liberation.”
