Lucknow: A grand cultural programme marking Ganeshotsav was organised at Gandhi Bhawan under the aegis of Ekta Welfare Foundation, bringing together women, social workers, artists and members of the business community for an evening of devotional and cultural celebrations.
According to programme coordinator Ekta Agrawal, the event was inaugurated by Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, All India Industry Trade Board national president and former minister Sandeep Bansal, former Director General of Police Brij Lal, BJP general secretary Rajiv Mishra and All India Industry Trade Board city president Suresh Chhablani.
Addressing the gathering, Sandeep Bansal said Ganeshotsav was no longer limited to Maharashtra and was now celebrated across states. He said the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, were considered essential for success in any endeavour. He also praised the participation of hundreds of women in the Ganesh Puja and congratulated Ekta Agrawal for bringing them together for the large-scale celebration.
The cultural programme featured devotional songs, bhajans and dance performances by several artists. Among those who presented dance performances were Aashi Agrawal, Akhilesh Kumar, Pankaj Dwivedi and Amrit.
Women’s organisation representative Sapna Goyal and office-bearers Neha Agrawal and Rupa Agrawal were also present. Social workers Ruby Raj Sinha and Meena Rastogi, Ekal Abhiyan national youth in-charge Durgesh Tripathi, Saroj Das, Manju Pushkar Agrawal, Rajiv Sharma and social media in-charge Sanjay Nidhi Agrawal were among those attending the programme.
The chief guest honoured the participating artists with angavastram and mementoes in recognition of their performances. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation and reflected the religious and cultural spirit associated with Ganeshotsav.
