Ayodhya: 35 lakh devotees attended Ramlala’s court in Sawan. The devotees who reached Ayodhya to worship Bhole also showed eagerness to see Ramlala. On an average, one lakh devotees visited and worshipped Ramlala daily in Sawan. During this, the cultural evening organized by the Ram Mandir Trust in Ramlala’s court was also the center of attraction for the devotees.
Devotees kept queuing up in the month of Sawan to see the grandeur of Ramlala in the divine-grand Ram temple. This was Ramlala’s first Sawan Jhoolanotsav in the grand temple. On Sawan Shukla Panchami i.e. August 7, Ramlala along with all four brothers were seated on a silver swing. Devotees were delighted to see their idol swinging. Every evening, the echo of the songs dedicated to Kajri and Jhoolan kept attracting the devotees.
Devotees from every corner of the country reached Ramlala’s court in the Sawan fair, while devotees from America, Sri Lanka and Nepal also attended Ramlala’s court. Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Ramlala, said that devotees from all over the country and abroad had reached Ayodhya to participate in Jhoolanotsav. He said that he has seen Ramlala swinging in a tent as well. Remembering that day brings tears to my eyes even today. The happiness that one feels after seeing the grandeur and splendor of the court of one’s idol is indescribable.
Free food arrangements were made
During the month of Sawan, one lakh devotees reached for darshan every day. Free food prasad was also arranged by the trust in the pilgrim facility center premises for the devotees. Here about 30 lakh devotees took prasad. – Dr. Anil Mishra, Member, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust
