Lucknow: As part of the ongoing Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign, the Chinhat Police team conducted a comprehensive awareness programme at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Malhaur, to educate nursing students about women’s safety, cybercrime prevention, legal rights, and emergency support services.
The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Lucknow Police Commissioner Amarendra Kumar Sengar as part of the Uttar Pradesh Government’s flagship women empowerment campaign. Under Mission Shakti 5.0, dedicated Mission Shakti Centres have been established at all 54 police stations across Lucknow Commissionerate to ensure prompt assistance and resolution of women-related issues.
The awareness session was led by Head Constable Amaravati Dubey of Chinhat Police Station, who interacted with nursing students and informed them about various forms of crimes against women, cyber frauds, personal safety measures, and available support mechanisms.
During the programme, participants were educated about behaviours and actions that constitute criminal offences, with special emphasis on women-related crimes and cyber threats. The students were also sensitised about the importance of reporting incidents promptly and seeking assistance through official channels.
A key component of the session focused on cyber security awareness, where students were informed about common online frauds, digital safety practices, and precautions to avoid becoming victims of cybercrime. Police officials highlighted the growing significance of cyber vigilance in an increasingly digital world.
The nursing students were also provided detailed information about important emergency and support helpline numbers, including 1076 (Chief Minister Helpline), 1090 (Women Power Line), 112 (Emergency Response Support System), 181 (Women Helpline), 1930 (Cyber Fraud Helpline), 102 and 108 (Ambulance Services).
As part of the awareness campaign, participants were educated on the concepts of “Good Touch” and “Bad Touch”, aimed at enhancing personal safety awareness and helping young individuals identify inappropriate behaviour and report it confidently.

Officials also explained the role and functioning of Women Help Desks, Mission Shakti Centres, and Women Safety Centres operating at police stations. Information was shared regarding various welfare schemes and initiatives launched by the Uttar Pradesh Government for women’s empowerment, safety, education, and self-reliance.
Speaking about the initiative, police officials said that Mission Shakti 5.0 is more than just an awareness campaign; it is a comprehensive effort to create a safer, more informed, and empowered society. The programme seeks to ensure that women and young girls are aware of their rights, understand available support systems, and are equipped to protect themselves against both physical and digital threats.
The campaign follows a three-pronged approach of security, awareness, and empowerment, encouraging women to become self-reliant while fostering confidence in law enforcement and government support mechanisms.
Participants appreciated the interactive session and the practical information shared during the programme. The initiative reinforced the message that awareness and timely access to support services are essential for building a safe and inclusive environment for women and children.
Mission Shakti 5.0 continues to play a significant role in strengthening women’s safety and empowerment across Uttar Pradesh by connecting citizens with legal rights, government schemes, and emergency assistance networks, while promoting a culture of respect, security, and equality.
