Lucknow: Isabella Thoburn College celebrated the festive spirit with its Christmas Cantata, themed “Love Shadows Over Christmas,” in the College Auditorium. The program commenced with a prayer and address by Principal Dr. Panji Singh, who emphasized dedicating life to good deeds. The college choir, comprising 71 students and 9 faculty members, conveyed the Christmas message through hymns and Bible readings.
Melodies like ‘Love Come Down at Christmas,’ ‘Oho Masiha Aaya,’ ‘Jashn Manayo,’ and ‘What Child is This’ filled the auditorium with joy and hope. Faculty members joined the celebration with a special performance of ‘Lord Jesus Christ’s Birth Celebration Melody.’ The cantata’s visuals, alongside a festively adorned campus with Christmas trees, stars, and bells, added to the vibrant atmosphere.
President Dr. E.S. Charles expressed gratitude and congratulated participants. The evening concluded with a heartfelt rendition of ‘Silent Night,’ followed by a delightful treat of Christmas cake and coffee, leaving the audience mesmerized.
