Air Marshal Sandeep Thareja, Director General Medical Services (Air), undertook an official visit to Air Force Hospital, Kanpur from 25 to 27 Mar 2025. He was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs Ritu Thareja.
During his visit, the Air Marshal was apprised of the extensive medical facilities and healthcare services being rendered to serving personnel, veterans and their dependents. He conducted a comprehensive tour of the hospital, engaging with various departments and acknowledging the dedication and professionalism of the medical and administrative staff in managing the demands of this premier multi-speciality medical institution.
The Air Marshal also reviewed the ongoing infrastructure development projects and was briefed on the futuristic initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and welfare services. Expressing his appreciation for the unwavering commitment of the hospital personnel, he lauded their efforts in upholding the highest standards of medical excellence. Addressing the staff, he conveyed his full confidence in their ability to fulfil the hospital’s operational and humanitarian responsibilities.
Mrs. Ritu Thareja visited the family and Pediatric wards, where she interacted with patients and extended her encouragement. She also engaged with hospital Sanginis, urging them to continue their proactive involvement in welfare activities aimed at supporting the families of Air Force personnel.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Air Force’s commitment to ensuring world-class medical care for its personnel and their familles.
