Bareilly: Bareilly DM Avinash Singh conducted a site inspection of the under-construction Mega Food Park in the industrial area of Baheri to review the progress of development works and operational arrangements.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate assessed the pace and quality of construction activities and reviewed various components of the ambitious industrial project aimed at boosting food processing and agro-based industries in the region.
Officials informed the District Magistrate that a portion of the land required for the project falls within areas connected to farmers from Uttarakhand. Representatives of Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) stated that consent from the concerned farmers had already been obtained.
Taking note of the matter, the District Magistrate directed UPSIDA officials and Ishita Kishore to coordinate with the District Magistrate of Udham Singh Nagar and ensure early resolution of all pending issues related to the land.
During the review, Avinash Singh also sought details regarding flood protection measures for the Mega Food Park from the nearby Kichha River. Officials informed him that temporary barriers had earlier been constructed to prevent flood damage.

The District Magistrate instructed the executing agency to construct a permanent embankment before the onset of the monsoon season to ensure long-term protection of the project from flooding.
During the inspection, it was also observed that a Dairy Craft factory within the Mega Food Park premises was nearing operational readiness. The District Magistrate directed officials to expedite preparations and ensure the factory is inaugurated at the earliest.
He further instructed concerned departments to complete all remaining works within the stipulated timeline while maintaining quality standards and ensuring availability of all essential facilities.
The inspection was attended by Joint Magistrate and SDM Baheri Ishita Kishore, the Baheri Tehsildar, and other administrative and departmental officials.
