AKTU to fuel entrepreneurial spirit

Lucknow: The government will support innovations at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) by funding promising ideas and providing expert guidance. Chief Minister’s Advisor, former IAS officer Awanish Awasthi, assured this during the closing ceremony of a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He emphasized the commercialization of innovations and informed about upcoming government initiatives in medical and pharma sectors, including a Medical Device Park and a Pharma Park.

AI’s significance was highlighted, stressing the need for academic excellence. Vice-Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey chaired the event, while Dean of Innovation Prof. BN Mishra welcomed guests. FDP sessions featured entrepreneurs and investors discussing grants, incubation, patents, business models, funding policies, and leadership skills. Participants received certificates, and Innovation Hub head Mahip Singh provided insights into ongoing projects. The event was attended by faculty members, researchers, and experts, marking an important step towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in technical education.
