Lucknow: On the occasion of World Health Day, Sapno Ki Udaan Foundation in collaboration with SUEZ Foundation India conducted health checkups of acid attack survivors. The event was not only a medical camp but also a positive effort towards honouring these brave women and their better health.
Acid attack survivors often face a variety of complications, both physically and mentally. Along with deep wounds on the face and body, they also require long-term treatment. Regular health checkups not only help track their health but also assure them that they are not alone. Periodic medical checkups improve their lifestyle and also provide guidance for further treatment.
Khushi Pandey, Founder of Sapno Ki Udaan Foundation said, “Today is a very special day for all of us. It is a great pleasure to spend this day with these courageous women on the occasion of World Health Day. I heartily congratulate all the acid attack survivors. It is very important for all of us to get health checkups from time to time, so that we can understand our body and deal with any disease in time.”
On this occasion, Akshat Saxena and Sumit Singh from SUEZ India also encouraged the acid attack survivors and said, “All of you women are truly an example. We salute your courage and self-confidence. Suez India is always with you and we want you to stay healthy and adopt a better lifestyle and inspire change in the society with your confidence.”
Through this event, the message was given that health is not only physical but is also related to mental and social security, and every person should be aware of regular checkups in their life.
