Lucknow: Spiritual organiser Sapna Goyal will lead collective recitations of the Sundarkand at three prominent locations in Rishikesh in November as part of the “Sundarkand Maha Abhiyan, Bharatvarsh Ki Bane Pehchaan” initiative.
The programme was announced during a monthly spiritual gathering held at Sanatan Dham Lawn, opposite Rajat Degree College near V-Mart in Chinhat, Lucknow, on Friday.

According to Goyal, the first recitation will take place at Janki Jhula Ghat at 5 pm on November 18, followed by a programme at Triveni Ghat at 1 pm on November 19. The third collective recitation is scheduled for 11 am on November 20 near Parmarth Niketan.
Goyal highlighted the spiritual significance of the Kartik month, noting that the programme coincides with auspicious religious observances. November 18 marks Akshaya Navami, while Hariprabodhini Ekadashi falls on November 20, traditionally marking the conclusion of the four-month Chaturmas period.
She said the three-day pilgrimage and collective recitations were intended to promote spiritual well-being, positivity and national upliftment.
Goyal said her long-term vision was to see India regain its stature as a Vishwaguru. The campaign is being conducted by the Ishwariya Swapnashish Seva Samiti without government or private financial assistance, according to the organisers.

As part of the initiative, more than 5,000 women participated in a collective Sundarkand recitation at Jhoolelal Ghat in Lucknow on March 10, 2024, marking International Women’s Day. Another large-scale programme was organised at the Naimisharanya pilgrimage site on June 23 that year, with around 5,000 women participating.
The campaign has also organised recitations at several religious destinations, including Siddhbali Temple in Kotdwar, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar, Mahadev Temple in Roorkee, Ramghat in Chitrakoot, the Bade Hanuman Temple in Prayagraj and Anandeshwar Mahadev Temple in Kanpur. More than 1,500 women also participated in a collective recitation at the Krishna Janmasthan temple complex in Mathura.
Goyal added that monthly Sundarkand recitations at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya began on September 11, 2024.
The upcoming Rishikesh programme is expected to extend the campaign’s outreach through collective prayer and participation at prominent spiritual destinations along the Ganga.
