Bareilly: Two undergraduate students of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Vansh Pal and Manav Kanojia, have been selected for a two-month international internship at Deh University in Taiwan. The students will leave for Taiwan on October 5, 2026, and participate in the internship programme from October to December.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anil Kumar Rai congratulated the students and described their selection as an important milestone in the university’s growing international academic engagement. He encouraged them to make the most of the opportunity, gain practical knowledge and apply their international experience to their academic and professional careers.

The internship marks the first international internship opportunity in Taiwan for MJPRU students and represents a further expansion of the university’s academic ties with Taiwan. During the programme, Vansh Pal and Manav Kanojia will gain hands-on exposure to electrical technology applications, research-oriented work and an international academic and technical environment.
The university has been offering Mandarin Chinese courses for the past four years. These programmes provide students with opportunities to learn Mandarin and understand Taiwanese culture. Several university students have also received scholarships in previous years to study Mandarin in Taiwan. The university is now expanding these engagements towards international internships, academic exchanges and practical training.
The internship at Deh University is expected to provide the students an opportunity to work with faculty members, participate in research projects and develop a broader international perspective.

Mandarin teacher Chiali Chen welcomed the students’ selection, saying it was encouraging to see students move beyond language learning towards academic and professional training opportunities in Taiwan. Prof. Anita Tyagi, coordinator of the Faculty of Linguistics, also congratulated the students and highlighted the value of international exposure in broadening students’ knowledge and skills.
Prof. D.D. Sharma, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and former department head Dr Sanjay Singh congratulated the students and urged them to gain maximum practical experience and share their learning with the university after returning.
The selection reflects MJPRU’s continuing efforts to provide its students with global exposure, practical training and international academic experiences.
