Gonda: The birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri were observed with enthusiasm and respect across the Gonda Police Department.
At the Reserve Police Lines, Gonda, Superintendent of Police Abhishek paid floral tribute to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Following the tribute, police personnel took a pledge to uphold the freedom and integrity of the nation, along with commitments to cleanliness and integrity.

Addressing the gathering, the Superintendent of Police recalled significant and inspirational episodes from Gandhi’s life and spoke about his contribution to India’s freedom movement. He also highlighted why Gandhi came to be respectfully known as “Bapu” and remembered as the Father of the Nation.
Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Nitesh Singh paid floral tribute at the Police Office and administered the pledge to personnel.

Similarly, all Circle Officers and Station House Officers across the district organised programmes at their respective offices and police stations. They paid homage to Gandhi and Shastri and administered the pledge for the freedom and integrity of the nation.
Police personnel were also urged to draw inspiration from the ideals and teachings of the two national leaders and incorporate their values into their daily lives and professional responsibilities.
