Mumbai: ShareChat and Moj’s premium short-form entertainment platform QuickTV has announced what it describes as India’s first dedicated AI-powered microdrama slate, featuring six original series set to premiere throughout August. The announcement comes after the launch of Main Amar Hoon, an AI-assisted microdrama that marked QuickTV’s first major step into AI-supported filmmaking.
The new slate is part of Mohalla Tech’s broader strategy to expand AI-driven microdrama production. The company plans to invest up to ₹100 crore over the next year to scale production, strengthen its AI capabilities and develop talent and infrastructure for AI-assisted storytelling.
Launched in June, Main Amar Hoon was created using a hybrid production pipeline combining live-action filmmaking, motion capture, advanced visual effects and generative AI. Rather than replacing human creativity, the technology was used to enhance performances and transform live-action material into a cinematic fantasy environment while retaining the emotional qualities of the actors’ performances.
QuickTV said its AI-generated microdramas have been gaining traction among viewers, with Episode-20 completion rates reaching around 50%. Building on that response, the platform will roll out six new original series during August, spanning fantasy, action, family drama and folklore-inspired storytelling.
The slate opens with Pashu Samrat, a fantasy drama centred on Dev, an ordinary farmer who unknowingly becomes the bearer of the divine power of Lord Mahadev. When rival kingdoms and dark forces threaten his world, Dev embarks on a journey from an outcast to the legendary Pashu Samrat.
Badshah Benaqab brings a time-bending element to the lineup. Set against the backdrop of a royal empire, the story follows Dhirendra, a scholar who secretly possesses the skills of a formidable warrior. As he protects the kingdom and attempts to uncover a dangerous conspiracy, his hidden identity becomes crucial to the survival of the realm.
The August slate also features Port Ka King, a story of ambition and transformation set in Goa. Shiva, an ordinary fisherman, discovers a rare treasure from the sea, setting him on an extraordinary journey from a labourer to one of the region’s most influential entrepreneurs. His rise brings him into conflict with ambition, betrayal and fierce competition.

Inspired by Indian folklore, Odiyan follows Samar, a young man who is often underestimated but possesses the extraordinary ability to transform his appearance. When ancient evil forces threaten the kingdom, Samar is forced to embrace his unusual powers and destiny as its protector.
Jadugar Rajkumar centres on Prince Rudransh, who conceals his magical abilities while appearing to be an irresponsible heir to the throne. As palace conspiracies, dark forces and family betrayals threaten the kingdom, Rudransh gradually steps forward to become its true guardian.
The lineup concludes with Hamari Lucky Jia, an emotional family drama about a young girl born with extraordinary healing abilities. Separated from her family at birth, Jia’s journey through love, loss, reunion and adversity brings hope and happiness to the lives of those she encounters.
While the six series explore distinct worlds and genres, they share a production approach that combines conventional filmmaking with AI-assisted workflows. QuickTV aims to use emerging technology to create visually ambitious stories designed specifically for mobile-first audiences and the fast-growing microdrama format.
The company said the new slate represents its effort to expand the possibilities of short-form entertainment while developing a scalable ecosystem for AI-assisted content creation in India.
All six original QuickTV series will premiere exclusively on the platform throughout August.
