Gonda: District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal and Chief Development Officer Dayanand Prasad heard the grievances of citizens during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas held at Colonelganj tehsil on Monday, directing officials to ensure the time-bound and qualitative disposal of every complaint received.
The Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas was organised across all tehsils of Gonda district in accordance with the state government’s objective of providing citizens with a single platform for the resolution of their grievances and problems. At Colonelganj, 74 applications were received from complainants, of which six were resolved on the spot. The remaining complaints were forwarded to the concerned departments with instructions to ensure their disposal within the prescribed timeframe and submit action-taken reports to the tehsil authorities.
During the public hearing, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan instructed officials to constitute dedicated teams for complaints received during the Samadhan Diwas and ensure that the teams conduct on-site inspections before taking a decision. She stressed that grievances should be resolved on the ground, based on proper verification, and with complete quality.
Giving specific directions on cases involving illegal encroachments and chak roads, the District Magistrate ordered revenue officials to visit disputed sites jointly with police personnel and take appropriate action. She also directed officials to undertake measurements of ponds and other public land and remove illegal occupation, encroachments, blocked drains and obstructions on chak roads with police assistance wherever necessary.
Officials were also instructed to call complainants to the site during the resolution process and record their presence in writing. Photographs and videography of the action taken should be carried out to maintain a proper record of the disposal of each case.

Niranjan warned that complaints received during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas must not be disposed of merely on paper. Officials were required to visit the site and ensure satisfactory resolution. She cautioned that failure to properly dispose of complaints or negligence in following the prescribed procedure would invite strict action against the officials concerned.
At the conclusion of the programme, the District Magistrate directed all district-level officers present to ensure that every complaint was resolved within the stipulated timeframe and in a transparent, fair and qualitative manner.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Santlal, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Colonelganj, the Tehsildar of Colonelganj, DRDA Project Director Sushil Kumar Pandey and officials from various departments were present during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas.
