During the incident, hotel employee Akhilesh Kumar suffered serious injuries after being struck by a bullet allegedly fired by one of the accused.

Investigators stated that accused Pranav Shukla and his associates allegedly attacked restaurant owner Manish Gaur and his employees in public. Witnesses informed police that firearms and sharp-edged weapons were used during the attack.

Three FIRs Registered

Following the incident, Gomti Nagar Police registered three separate criminal cases on June 29, 2026.

The first case was lodged on the complaint of Ankit Singh, alleging armed assault with a pistol and knife, firing, damage to vehicles, attacks on a residential property, vandalism, and criminal intimidation.

The second FIR was filed by Manish Gaur, owner of Manish Eating Point, alleging assault on him and his staff, use of sharp-edged weapons, firing, the gunshot injury suffered by an employee, and threats to life.

The third complaint was submitted by Santosh Singh, who alleged firing at his residence, damage to his vehicle, vandalism of a neighbour’s vehicle, and threats issued by the accused.

Additional Charges Added During Investigation

Investigators also found that after the initial assault at the restaurant, some accused allegedly proceeded to the residence of complainant Ankit Singh and carried out another armed attack using an illegal firearm.
