Bareilly: The Department of Regional Economics at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, has announced that the admission process for its M.A. Economics and M.A. Financial Economics programmes will commence on June 1, 2026.
Both courses are two-year postgraduate programmes, and graduates from any discipline, including B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., and equivalent streams, are eligible to apply.
The university has made available 40 seats for the M.A. Economics programme, with an annual fee of ₹2,500. The M.A. Financial Economics programme offers 20 seats, with an annual fee of ₹15,000.
Interested candidates can complete their online registration through the Government of India’s admission platform, the Samarth Portal. Applicants are required to visit the portal and submit their applications within the stipulated admission schedule.

University officials have advised aspiring students to regularly check the portal for updates regarding admission procedures, important dates, merit lists, and other relevant information. Candidates are encouraged to complete their registration well in time to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
The university stated that both programmes offer strong academic foundations and promising career opportunities in economics, finance, research, banking, public policy, and related sectors.
