Bright Futures Begin: Lucknow’s ICSE, ISC Toppers Lead the Way

Lucknow: The morning of board exam results, arrived with a mix of nervous anticipation and quiet hope in thousands of homes across Lucknow. By 11 am, as the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) results, that silence gave way to cheers, tears, and heartfelt celebrations.

In Rajajipuram, the Awasthi household became the center of jubilation. Shivam Awasthi, a student of Lucknow Public College, scored a near-perfect 99.80% in Class 10, emerging as one of the city’s brightest stars. For Shivam, the result was not just a number but a reflection of months of discipline—early mornings, late-night revisions, and unwavering focus. “I just stayed consistent,” he reportedly told friends, even as congratulatory calls poured in.

Lucknow, known for its academic culture, once again lived up to its reputation. Several students crossed the 99% mark, turning the results into a celebration of collective excellence. Shivam was closely followed by Shaveer Prakash Srivastava, who secured 99%, and Aditya Pathak of St. Francis School, Gomti Nagar, who also scored 99%. Among girls, Vaibhavi Dixit and Ishani Singh, both from Lucknow Public College, impressed with 98%.

In the ISC (Class 12) results, the spotlight shifted to students balancing academic pressure with career dreams. Oshin Agarwal of City Montessori School, Mahanagar, topped with a remarkable 99.75%, while Prakhar Singh of St. Joseph College secured 99.25%. Iqra Alam and Samriddhi Dwivedi from Lucknow Public College also scored 99.25%, making their institutions proud. Juhi Chaudhary and Kritika Bisht added to the list of high achievers with 99% and 98.25% respectively.

Beyond the numbers, however, lay stories of grit and resilience. One such inspiring story was that of Sara, a Class 12 student from Christ Church College, who scored 98.70% despite being hearing and speech impaired. Her achievement stood as a powerful reminder that determination can overcome even the toughest barriers. With dreams of becoming an IAS officer, Sara’s journey has already inspired many across the city.

This year, more than 22,000 students from Lucknow appeared for the examinations, contributing to an impressive overall pass percentage. Nationally, ICSE recorded a pass percentage of 99.18%, while ISC hovered around 99%, with girls outperforming boys in both categories—a continuing trend that reflects growing academic parity and excellence.

As the day progressed, sweets were exchanged, teachers were thanked, and families took a moment to reflect on the journey behind the success. For many students, this was not just the end of an academic chapter but the beginning of new aspirations—engineering, medicine, civil services, and beyond.

The CISCE results this year have once again highlighted Lucknow’s vibrant student community, where hard work meets opportunity. In the quiet determination of students like Shivam, Oshin, and Sara, one can see the future of a city that continues to shine—one result at a time.
