In Lucknow, a dedicated war room was set up at the office of the Uttar Pradesh Bank Employees Union on Valmiki Marg in Lalbagh to coordinate the campaign. The initiative was conducted under the leadership of Comrade S.K. Sangtani.
Several bank leaders, senior office-bearers and members participated in the campaign, including Rakesh Pandey, Ashok Agrawal, Sachin Kesarwani, Akash Sharma, Vibhakar Kushwaha, Shakeel Ahmed, V.K. Srivastava, Sachin Bhatnagar, Ankur Agrawal, Gyanendra Tripathi and Deepak Chaurasia.

Media in-charge Anil Tiwari said the United Forum had announced a series of further programmes to press for the demands. These include a poster campaign on September 3, wearing black badges on September 8, and a one-day nationwide bank strike on September 11.
The campaign is part of the banking employees’ ongoing efforts to seek a five-day working week and what they describe as a fair and non-discriminatory Performance Linked Incentive system.
