Lucknow: The Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony (2025–26) of Navayug Kanya Mahavidyalaya was celebrated with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour at its Rajendra Nagar campus. The event was held under the patronage of Manager Vijay Dayal and presided over by Principal Prof. Manjula Upadhyay.
The event commenced with the ceremonial garlanding of Goddess Saraswati’s idol and the lighting of the lamp, followed by a Saraswati Vandana presented by student Muskaan Mishra. The Principal welcomed the distinguished guests with angvastra, mementos, and saplings symbolising environmental conservation, and also presented the institution’s annual academic report for 2024–25.
Chief Guest Pawan Singh Chauhan emphasized the importance of perseverance and tolerance, stating that “endurance is the first step towards greatness.” He encouraged students to respect teachers and adopt positive values in life. Special Guest Prof. Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay highlighted the responsible use of knowledge for the betterment of humanity, drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda. Another distinguished speaker, Kumari Shashi, spoke on the vital role of women and education in nation-building.

A total of 61 meritorious students from various streams were honoured with medals, including 40 gold, 11 silver, and 10 bronze. Neha Kumari received the prestigious Navayug Ratna award, while several other students were recognised for academic excellence across disciplines.
The event also featured vibrant cultural performances, including dance and poetry presentations, adding colour and energy to the ceremony. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Sangeeta Kotwal and the singing of Vande Mataram, leaving the audience inspired and motivated.
