Lucknow: In a remarkable display of unity, churches across Lucknow came together to organize the Easter Milan 2026 at the Christ Church College grounds at 6:30 pm. The event drew around 2,500 worshippers, who joined in prayers, music, and fellowship to celebrate the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ.
The evening began with an opening prayer by Rev. E. F. Baksh of Epiphany Church, followed by a special prayer for world peace led by Pastor Sammy Mathai. Bishop Dr. Gerald J. Mathais, Catholic Diocese, extended Easter greetings to the congregation. The congregation participated in uplifting songs led by Pastor Vipin Massey & team, with the ABC Church Choir performing “Gau gau jai ke geet gau.” Scripture readings were presented by Rev. Lawrence Joseph of Emmanuel AG Church.

Bishop Augustus Anthony presided over the service, while Bishop Morris E. Dan of CNI Lucknow Diocese encouraged the faithful with a word of exhortation. The UPMA Secretary, R. K. Chatrree, shared the association’s report and welcomed dignitaries, including DGP Shri Prakash D.

Musical highlights included the Assembly of Believers Church group song “Yeshu Jinda Hua” and a special performance by Enosh Chattree and team from Epiphany Church. Renowned worship leader Pastor Mark Tribhuvan from Mumbai delivered the guest address. Rev. Manoj Singh shared greetings, Dr. David Charles offered the closing prayer, and Rev. Morris Kumar presented the vote of thanks. Bishop Shailendra Das concluded the service with a benediction, marking a spiritually enriching evening of unity and devotion.
