Chandigarh University, UP hosts ‘CU Fest 2026’; Dhvani Bhanushali’s electrifying performance steals the show

Unnao: India’s first AI augmented multidisciplinary university, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, located in Nawabganj, Unnao, hosted the first-ever edition of ‘CU Fest 2026’. The event witnessed a vibrant mix of cultural performances, exciting competitions, and a grand musical night, with students participating enthusiastically. The highlight of the evening was a live performance by popular singer Dhvani Bhanushali, which made the event truly memorable. As she took to the stage, the campus resonated with cheers and applause. Her rendition of chart-topping songs had the audience enthralled, turning the musical night into an unforgettable experience.

During the CU Fest, students showcased their talents across a wide range of categories including fine arts, theatre, literary events, music, dance, and modelling. Hundreds of participants competed in various contests, demonstrating creativity, skill, and innovation. The event was graced by university officials and distinguished guests, who appreciated the enthusiasm and talent of the students, noting that such platforms play a vital role in holistic development.In the debate competition, Pragya Shukla and Shona Mariam secured the first position, while Ankul and Janhvi finished second, followed by Jaya Singh and Parth Sanathi in third place. In the skit competition, Divyansh and team clinched the first position, while Yamini and team secured second place. In the mimicry category, Prabhleen Kaur captivated the audience with an impressive performance. Meanwhile, in clay modelling, Ravi Pratap secured first place, followed by Aastha Singh in second and Arshad in third, showcasing remarkable creativity.

Addressing the gathering during the inaugural ceremony, Prof. Dr. T P Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh, said that the institution is not limited to academic excellence alone but equally promotes art, culture, and sports. Platforms like CU Fest provide students with opportunities to showcase their hidden talents, build confidence, and learn collaboratively.

The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm displayed by students underscored CU Fest as a strong platform for creative expression and cultural enrichment among youth.

With the successful organization of this event, Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh has initiated a new tradition that is expected to grow in scale and grandeur in the coming years.
