The AMC Centre & College celebrated the 262nd Anniversary of the Army Medical Corps (AMC) on 03 Apr 2026. Lt Gen Shivinder Singh, AVSM, Comdt, AMC Centre & College, OIC Records & Col Comdt, Army Medical Corps laid a wreath at Shraddhanjali’ (War Memorial), Army Medical Corps and paid homage to the combatants of the Army Medical Corps who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
A number of sports events and competitions along with entertainment programmes were organised for the staff, families and children of the AMC Centre & College as a part of these celebrations.
A Special Sainik Sammelan was held wherein Lt Gen Shivinder Singh addressed a large gathering of officers and troops. He exhorted all ranks of Army Medical Corps Centre & College to strive hard in maintaining the high standards of training being imparted so that the best of health care can be rendered to the soldiers both during peace and war. He also complimented all personnel for the tireless and exemplary services rendered by them and keeping the Flag of AMC flying high. He conveyed his best wishes to all ranks and their families.
The Army Medical Corps anniversary celebrations culminated with a gala social evening organised on 03 Apr 2026 at the AMC Centre & College Officers’ Mess in which senior serving officers of Fmn HQ, veteran officers of the Army Medical Corps and their spouses were the guests.
