Bareilly: A legal awareness camp was organized in Bhojipura block of Bareilly through the joint efforts of Sakar Sanstha, Mahila Shakti Sangathan, and the District Legal Services Authority Bareilly. The initiative aimed to educate women about their legal rights, health, and welfare provisions.
The camp was inaugurated by chief guest Jaya Priyadarshini, who lit the ceremonial lamp. Women and self-help group representatives from various villages of the Bhojipura area participated in large numbers.
Focus on Health and Legal Awareness
Medical experts from the Community Health Centre, Bhojipura, including ARO Piyush and counsellor Poonam, informed participants about cervical cancer, its symptoms, prevention, treatment, and the importance of vaccination.
Advocate Madhuri provided detailed information on laws related to women, including issues such as dowry, child marriage, and domestic violence. Participants actively engaged in the session by asking questions and receiving immediate guidance on their concerns.
Emphasis on Access to Justice
Addressing the gathering, Jaya Priyadarshini urged that the benefits of legal services should reach all eligible citizens. She also highlighted the role of mediation centres in resolving disputes amicably and reducing litigation.
Block Development Officer Ashish Pal welcomed the guests and participants, appreciating their active involvement.

Support Services and Rights Awareness
Secretary of Sakar Sanstha Neetika Pant encouraged women to become aware of their rights and emphasized the importance of literacy and empowerment.
Para-legal volunteer Jwala Dev Agrawal informed attendees that women, children, senior citizens, SC/ST communities, and economically weaker sections are entitled to free legal aid through the authority. He also shared that citizens can seek legal advice via the toll-free NALSA helpline number 15100.
Additionally, Sanveg Pawan spoke about tuberculosis symptoms and preventive measures, linking health awareness with overall community well-being.
The programme was conducted by Kamlesh and Mamta and witnessed enthusiastic participation from women, who benefited from valuable information on legal rights, healthcare, and government support systems.
