Bareilly: A student of ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Divyanshi Saini, has brought laurels to the institute by winning a gold medal in a national-level elocution competition held during the Global Conference on Women in Agri-Food Systems 2026.
The three-day international conference was organized at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute and inaugurated by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. The event witnessed participation from over 700 delegates representing more than 20 countries, making it a significant global platform to recognize the contribution of women in agri-food systems.
Competitive Selection Process
To promote academic excellence and intellectual engagement, several national-level competitions were organized during the conference, with the elocution contest emerging as a major highlight. The selection process was highly competitive, with participants shortlisted through regional-level screenings across North, East, West, and South zones.
Each region nominated top undergraduate and postgraduate students from various universities, followed by an online screening round. Ultimately, 16 participants were selected for the national-level finals.
From IVRI, two competitors secured positions in the final round: Divyanshi Saini in the undergraduate category and Dr. Nivedita Dwivedi in the postgraduate category.

Outstanding Performance
In the final competition held at IARI, New Delhi, Divyanshi Saini impressed the judges with her articulate speech, clarity of thought, and confident presentation, securing the gold medal.
