Lucknow Police Crack Down on Street Stunt Riders, Over 60 Bikes Seized

Lucknow: In a strong crackdown against reckless driving and illegal street racing, the Uttar Pradesh Police launched a special campaign across key areas of the city, seizing more than 60 motorcycles involved in dangerous stunts.

The enforcement drive was carried out at prominent locations including Janeshwar Mishra Park, the 1090 intersection, and Hazratganj. Police teams conducted intensive checking both in the early hours and late at night, targeting groups of youth performing high-speed stunts and racing on public roads.

According to officials, a group of bikers was caught near Gate No. 5 of Janeshwar Mishra Park, where they were allegedly performing risky stunts and endangering lives. The group reportedly included youths from Barabanki who had come to Lucknow specifically to shoot stunt videos for social media. Acting swiftly, police surrounded and detained them, seizing multiple bikes on the spot. In addition, a car was also impounded during the operation.

The crackdown comes in the wake of a recent fatal incident involving a youth named Naitik, a resident of Gomti Nagar, who lost his life while performing a stunt near the same area. The tragedy drew public attention and prompted authorities to take stricter action against such activities.

Further operations were conducted across busy city نقاط including 1090 Chauraha, Hazratganj, and Gomti Nagar, where over 40 additional motorcycles were seized. Several riders were fined, and strict warnings were issued against engaging in stunt riding and racing.

Police officials stated that such reckless behavior not only violates traffic laws but also poses a serious threat to pedestrians and other commuters. Local residents had also raised concerns about the increasing nuisance and danger caused by stunt riders in these areas.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining road safety and have warned that such drives will continue in the coming days. Citizens have been urged to follow traffic rules and report any such incidents to ensure safer roads across the city.
