Lucknow: Kites in the sky, sweet til-gud, and warm memories-Makar Sankranti brings simple joys that stay close to the heart. Sun Neo actors Megha Ray, Bhagyashree Mishra, and Gauri Shelgaonkar share their childhood memories, festive traditions, and how they plan to celebrate this beautiful festival while spreading happiness and positive energy.
Megha Ray who plays Divya in Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, shared, “I have always loved Makar Sankranti because it brings warmth, hope, and togetherness. As a child, flying kites with family and sharing til-gud are memories close to my heart. This year, work keeps me busy, but I plan to celebrate on the set of Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahnai with my team, sharing sweets and positive energy. Sankranti reminds me to let go of negativity and move ahead with faith, gratitude, and joy. I wish everyone a colorful, happy Sankranti filled with love. May this festival bring new beginnings, success, peace, good health, and smiles always.
Bhagyashree Mishra who portrays Sachee in Satyaa Sachee, said, “Makar Sankranti feels special as it marks fresh beginnings and positive change. Some of my fondest memories include colorful kites I remember how we used to fly kites in our childhood and then run behind the cut kites, searching for them with so much excitement. That fun was truly special and feels very different when I think about it now. I miss those carefree days a lot. Now we have all grown up, and because of work, we don’t get much free time. But if we get a chance this year, we will definitely fly kites on the sets of Satyaa Sachee and enjoy some fun moments together.”
Gauri Shelgaonkar who is seen as Ghevar in Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, Expressed, “Makar Sankranti has always meant simple happiness for me-family meals, laughter, and learning the importance of sharing. I remember elders giving us til-gud and reminding us to speak sweetly and stay positive. This year, I plan to celebrate quietly, call my loved ones, and thank them for their constant support. I will also take homemade til laddoos made by my mother to the sets of Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani and share them with everyone. I also fondly remember flying kites with my father when I was young-he would spend the entire day flying kites with me and my friends.”
