Pooja Hegde Marks 6 Years of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Wishes Fans ‘Happy AVPL Day’

Mumbai: Pooja Hegde and Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has completed six successful years, continuing to enjoy immense popularity among audiences. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film emerged as one of Telugu cinema’s biggest hits and remains memorable for its music, performances, and chart-topping numbers.

To mark the special milestone, Pooja Hegde took to social media and revisited the film’s iconic song Butta Bomma. Sharing a still featuring herself with Allu Arjun from the hit track, the actress fondly referred to the occasion as “AVPL Day” and extended warm wishes to her fans, writing, “Happy AVPL Day everyone.”

The on-screen chemistry between Pooja Hegde and Allu Arjun played a major role in the film’s massive success, turning their pairing into a fan favourite. Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo reportedly collected between ₹262 crore and ₹280 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2020 and the second-highest-grossing Indian film of that year. At the time of its release, it also ranked among the top four highest-grossing Telugu films of all time.

The film proved to be a landmark in Pooja Hegde’s career, adding a major blockbuster to her filmography and cementing her collaboration with Trivikram Srinivas and Allu Arjun as one of Telugu cinema’s most celebrated combinations.

Looking ahead, Pooja Hegde has an exciting slate of projects lined up. She will be seen next in the political action thriller Jana Nayagan alongside Vijay Thalapathy. She is also set to star in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with Varun Dhawan, directed by David Dhawan and slated for a theatrical release on June 5. In addition, the actress has #DQ41 with Dulquer Salmaan and Kanchana 4 with Raghava Lawrence in the pipeline, keeping her fans eagerly anticipating her upcoming releases.
