India’s First Eco-Spiritual Park to Come Up in Naimisharanya

Lucknow: Naimisharanya is set to gain a unique national landmark with the development of India’s first eco-spiritual park, named Vedaranyam, blending ecology with spirituality. Spread across nearly 10 hectares and developed at an estimated cost of ₹20 crore, the park will be based on the theme “where nature meets eternal wisdom.”

The Forest Department has prepared a detailed action plan to make the project distinctive. Around two lakh saplings of diverse species will be planted, including nearly 30 percent Vedic trees such as peepal, banyan, bael, amla, and shami. Banyan saplings from sacred sites like Prayagraj, Nashik, Vrindavan, Gaya, and Ujjain will also be nurtured.

Vedaranyam will be divided into seven thematic zones, showcasing Vedic trees, rishi traditions, mantra therapy, art and interpretation spaces, youth and family discovery areas, and spiritual plazas. The project will be developed in three phases, with ₹6 crore already approved for the first phase, aiming to promote conservation, spirituality, and sustainable tourism.
