NTPC Unchahar distributes nutritional kits to 100 TB patients under CSR initiative; District Collector lauds continuous support for Raebareli’s development
Raebareli: NTPC Unchahar, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, has extended support to 100 tuberculosis (TB) patients from the Unchahar area of Raebareli district by providing nutritional kits for a period of six months. The initiative has been undertaken to strengthen the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan by improving the nutritional status and treatment outcomes of TB patients.
The distribution event was graced by Chief Guest Harshita Mathur, District Collector, Raebareli, who appreciated NTPC’s continuous support for the all-round development of Raebareli and expressed full faith in NTPC Unchahar’s efforts for the betterment of the community. The District Collector commended the company’s sustained partnership with the district administration in driving community-centric initiatives.
Guest of Honour Abhay Kumar Shrivastava, Executive Director & Head of Project, NTPC Unchahar, also marked his presence and appreciated the efforts being made to support TB patients through focused nutritional care. Head of Project , NTPC Unchahar reiterated NTPC Unchahar’s commitment to community health and its resolve to complement government programmes through impactful CSR projects.
The programme was attended by Special Guest Dr. Naveen Chandra, Chief Medical Officer, Raebareli; Dr. Anupam, District Tuberculosis Officer, Raebareli; Dr. Madhu Singh, Chief Medical Officer, NTPC Unchahar; and Dr. Disha Awasthi, Head of HR (in-charge), NTPC Unchahar, along with members of the CSR team. The dignitaries highlighted that adequate nutrition plays a crucial role in faster recovery and better treatment adherence among TB patients and lauded NTPC Unchahar’s contribution towards the national goal of a TB-free India
The project is being implemented through Chakriya Vikas Pranali Sansthan (CVPS) with active support from the office of the District Tuberculosis Officer, Raebareli and Community Health Centre (CHC), Unchahar. The nutritional support includes monthly distribution of kits comprising Dalia (1 kg), Bhuna Chana (1 kg), Moong Dal (1 kg), Channa Sattu (1 kg), Soyabean Chunks (1 packet – 200 gm) and Horlicks (500 gm) to each identified TB patient.
